Spring Academy Registration
A message from President Ryan Merrill
Dear OTSC Families,
I hope this message finds you well and enjoying a rewarding spring season. As we enter the final month of play, we reflect with gratitude on the growth, memories, and friendships that have blossomed across our teams. It’s been a joy to see our players develop both on and off the field.
The excitement continues as OCL tournaments take place over the next three weekends, and several of our teams prepare to compete in the Creek Classic in Beavercreek. We wish all teams the best of luck and safe travels!
As always, spring brings unpredictable weather. We understand the frustration of game cancellations and want you to know we’re doing our best to reschedule matches so players don’t miss valuable playing time.
We’re also thrilled to announce that our OTSC Academy Program is kicking off this week, led by former Logan High School varsity coach Don Miller. Don brings a wealth of experience, energy, and love for the game. We’re excited to have him working with our youngest players—helping to lay the foundation for their future success.
We’d like to remind all families that soccer doesn’t start or end at the field—it begins at home. Encouraging your child to get touches on the ball outside of practice helps build confidence and technical skill. Simple activities like cuts, pullbacks, stepovers, scissors, body feints (Messi moves), and juggling with both feet go a long way.

A Word of Thanks to Our Presenting Sponsor
We are also very, very grateful for the continued support of our Presenting Sponsor, Michele Barry and her partners at Millstone Southern LLC. Their incredibly generous contribution plays a vital role in helping us provide meaningful experiences for youth and families across Southeast Ohio. Their belief in our mission means the world to us—and to the children we serve.
Thank you all for being a part of the Old Town Soccer Club family. We’re proud of our players, thankful for our parents, and excited for what lies ahead.
Sincerely,
Ryan Merrill
President, Old Town Soccer Club

Scholarship Spotlight
This year, we are proud to have awarded two $1,000 college scholarships to two outstanding OTSC players:
• Grayson King (left) – A dedicated member of OTSC for 11 years, Grayson has grown into a strong leader both on and off the field. He plans to attend The Ohio State University to pursue a career in aviation and become a pilot.
• Jackson Stimmel (right) – An 8-year OTSC player and varsity athlete, Jackson has excelled academically and athletically. He ranks 23rd in his class of nearly 300 students and has been a role model in his school and on the field.
We are incredibly thankful to Impact Wealth Planners for sponsoring this year’s scholarship and helping us recognize these outstanding young men. Special thanks to Isaac Gwinn, former OTSC player and current Impact Wealth representative, for helping make this happen.
Volunteer Spotlight
Old Town Soccer Club is a volunteer organization. We cannot do what we do with our volunteers. Here are a few that we would like to introduce to you. If you would like to volunteer please contact vicepresident@oldtown.soccer
For the past three years, Caleb has taken on one of the most critical roles in our organization—as Club Registrar. His tireless work ensures that all players are carded, paperwork is submitted, and league requirements are met. Caleb also serves as co-head coach for our U12 boys team. His commitment to the club cannot be overstated.
Rochelle wears many hats within OTSC. As Uniform Director, she ensures every player is outfitted and ready to compete. She also plays a vital role in social media, flyer design, event coordination, team photography, and parent communication. Her behind-the-scenes efforts help keep our club running smoothly.
We are incredibly fortunate to have volunteers like Caleb and Rochelle—their dedication and heart make OTSC what it is. We are deeply grateful for all they do.
